Jose Navarro Theatre, is an international collaborative company led by the Peruvian - British artist, Jose Navarro who was trained in Mime by Juan Arcos, graduated in Art at Peru's National University of San Marcos in Lima; and holds an MA in Theatre Practice - 'Puppetry and Object Theatre' at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London - England. The Theatre participated with its own productions, delighting audiences at numerous prestigious International Festivals in China, Russia, United States, England, France, Romania, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Lithuania, Serbia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Armenia, Thailand, Indonesia, Iran, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Peru, Brazil, Venezuela and others. LingkungSeniPurbaningLaras, led by HediRedianaRiskonda, founded in 1992 in Bandung, Indonesia, combines music and shadow in the performing arts. Brought a shadow-based, creative and innovative touch that makes it acceptable in this modern era. The troupe is starred by the shadow artist HediRisdianaRiskonda. They have a great mission to reinvigorate the audience to attract the attention of young people. 佩皮諾偶戲劇場Puppet theatre PEPINO

佩皮諾偶戲劇場於1997年11月17日首次演出“戀愛中的鞋”。 多年來,木 偶旅行團的想法已經發展到今天,如今在我們的劇團裡有6位成員 - 5個演 員,一個技師管理光和音樂。我們的願望是保護木偶藝術,並為兒童演出, 特別是那些生活在小型和偏遠地區的兒童,這些木偶都能夠做到。我們大多 數表演都是帶有友誼,愛情和信任的喜劇。在我們的劇目中有16個木偶劇展 現。

The puppet theatre PEPINO played its first performance "The Shoes in Love" on November 17st, 1997. During years, the idea of traveling puppet group has developed so that today in our small theatre there are 6 of us - 5 actors, one technicians managing light and sound. Our wish is to preserve art of puppeteering and to show to children, especially to those living in small and remote locations, all that puppets are capable of doing. The majority of our performances are comedies carrying messages of friendship, love, trust. On our repertoar is 16 puppet showsAwards.

馬來西亞Malaysia
破浪布袋戲團OmbakPotehi

(破浪布袋戲)是由一群多元種族年輕人所組成, 旨在努力振興馬來西亞檳城瀕危的傳統表演藝術之一 – 「布袋戲」。 這群年輕人師承檳城傳統劇團「鳴月鳳布袋戲班」,學習木偶操控、 故事編寫和音樂唱白。

為了更貼近當地各族群和各年齡層的觀眾, Ombak Potehi不僅依據布袋戲傳統劇目做出改編, 更按照檳城民間的口述歷史編寫成新故事。透過馬來西亞多元的語言、 民族特性、服裝和音樂,他們將傳統布袋戲本地化,並在社區空間進行表演, 以讓不同族群和階級的人士都有機會接觸和欣賞布袋戲。 他們也準備了中英文翻譯和動畫幻燈片,讓觀眾更輕易理解故事的發展。

Ombak Potehi曾經在喬治市世遺慶典(Heritage Celebration、 喬治市藝術節(Georgetown Festival、 北海藝穗節(Butterworth Fringe Festival)和曼谷Samphrang音樂節上演出《天賜良緣》(2015), 《西遊記之觀音收服紅孩兒》(2016)和《邂逅檳榔》(2017)。 2017年11月,該團亦受邀到日本東京大都會劇院和大正大學演出與交流。

OmbakPotehi is a collective of multiethnic young people who have tried to revitalize the endangered Potehi glove puppet theatre in Penang, Malaysia. The group of young people studied the art of puppet manipulation, narration and music from the traditional troupe, BengGeok Hong, in Penang. In order to reach the multiethnic younger audiences in Penang, the group not only performs traditional stories but new stories based on oral histories collected from the people of Penang. By localizing the Potehi using the multiethnic languages, characters, costumes and music of Malaysia, and performing at community spaces, the group has made Potehi accessible to people of different races, class and gender. The shows are accompanied by animated slides about Penang with translations in Mandarin and English. OmbakPotehi has performed The Story of Malek (2015), The Monkey Adventures (2016) and KisahPulau Pinang- The Story of Penang (2017) at the George Town and Butterworth Fringe Festivals, Penang and Samphrang Festival, Bangkok (2015). They were invited to perform at the Metropolitan Theatre and Taisho University in Tokyo, Japan, in November 2017.

《邂逅檳城》講述了十九世紀末至二十世紀初檳城人民的生活故事。 故事開頭提及周茂生和林阿義(南來的中國人)和卡西姆(印度穆斯林) 如何從彼此的祖國來到檳城,並在檳城這個多元的國際貿易港口落地生根。 周茂生遇上了陳秀娘(當地峇峇娘惹族),兩人一見鍾情,結為夫妻。 居民間相互往來,各種有趣的活動讓這座城市充滿活力, 如小印度販售香料的叫賣聲、華族的街頭遊神慶典、匯聚四面八方貨物的船隻、 穆斯林前往麥加朝聖的驛站,以及秘密會社爭權的鬥爭等。 表演者除了使用老福建話,更穿插著檳城本土福建話,馬來語和淡米爾語, 並融合了各民族的服飾、民間音樂及檳城多元文化歷史的老照片讓整個演出更貼近本地情境。

《KisahPulau Pinang – the Penang Story is a tale of love and friendship set in Penang in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Chew and Yi (Chinese), Ah Nya (Nyonya, Chew’s wife), and Kahssim (Indian Muslim) tell how their families came to Penang and life in the multiethnic cosmopolitan port of Penang. The people lived side by side and traded with one another. The city was alive with many activities: spice trade at Little India, street festivals, arrival of ships bringing cargo from the West and the East, Muslim pilgrims stopping by on their way to Mecca and secret society fights for control of power. While the traditional Potehi puppets are used, the performers attempt to localize the form by adding the different languages spoken locally such as Hokkien, Malay and Tamil, costumes worn by the multiethnic groups, local folk music and props and old photographs of Penang’s multicultural history.
